Ukraine Relief: helping war refugees in their own land

At the end of another month of horrific war in Ukraine and also terrible spiritual war waged against the faith of many, we write to you with grateful hearts and full of trust in the God who controls the circumstances. Let us continue our travel together in 2023, anchored in the Word, passionate in prayer, persevering in faith and steadfast in generosity.

This time we rejoice at sharing with you one of the most encouraging reports we received from the people we sent supplies in Ukraine: Ion and Gabi Patrasyou may remember them as the missionaries in Poroshkovo which adopted a baby right before the first days of war.

News from the Refugee Camp in Poroshkovo, Ukraine

As followers of Christ, the call to mission is a life-long one. We have come to experience the mission field for almost 20 years now, and throughout time, mission work took different colors; we have experienced different challenges and enjoyed a lot of blessings. Yet, we never expected to go through the hurdles of a major armed conflict. The Russian-Ukrainian war has raised the bar to unprecedented levels in everything that means the need for spiritual and material care, the opening of different areas of ministry, the time, effort and care needed to be poured into everything. Yet, for times like these, God has prepared help through the right people. Such people are those behind the support given through the Cityside Missions. We want to thank you wholeheartedly.Your support reached a community formed of:

  • around 420 refugees in the village of Poroshkovo, Zacharpathia Oblast, Ukraine;
  • more than 120 church members and 400 children with a very low social and economic status.

Your support was used for buying the following:We praise God for His provision and thank you for everything you have done for us. May God bless you!
